HALLOWEEN PARADE 2026

Dear Burnet Hill Families,

We are excited to invite you to our Halloween parades on Friday, October 30th!

  • Kindergarten through Grade 5: 12:45 p.m.

  • Preschool: 1:30 p.m.

Families are welcome to watch. Students will exit through Door 12, walk around the school, and reenter through the courtyard near Door 6. Please stand along the perimeter of the route and leave the path clear for students. For everyone’s safety, the front parking lot will be closed during the parades. Please allow extra time to park and walk to your viewing spot, and leave pets at home.

Costume guidelines

Students participating in the parade should come to school dressed in their costumes and be prepared to wear them throughout the school day. Students will not be able to change at school. Please choose a costume that:

  • Is appropriate for school and is not frightening or violent.

  • Allows your child to move comfortably and use the bathroom independently.

  • Can be worn with comfortable shoes or sneakers.

  • Does not include a mask, weapon, or weapon-like prop. School-appropriate face paint is fine as long as your child can be easily identified.

We also ask adults to avoid wearing Halloween masks, as they may frighten some students. After the parade, students will return to their classrooms. If your child’s dismissal plans will change that day, please notify your child’s teacher in advance. Otherwise, students will be dismissed at their usual time. Participation in the parade and class celebration is optional. If you would prefer that your child not participate in either activity, please send a note to your child’s teacher. An alternative learning activity will be provided. Class parents will share more information about classroom celebrations. Thank you for helping us make the day safe and enjoyable for all of our Bobcats!

Sincerely,

Jessica Williams
